A-OK Blastoff

Exciting Ending

It was an exciting ending to our 2013 show season in Guthrie OK. We attended the A-OK Blastoff show for the first time. We selected 5 of our best alpacas, 3 males and 2 females to attend the show. Also attending and sharing the driving show responsibilities was Paul Yeager from Applewood Lane Alpacas.

Our first alpaca in the show ring was RobAsia’s Caramia. Just off her first place and Color championship at the Illinois show she repeated her first place and top honors with the color championship banner.

The next alpaca in the show ring was RobAsia’s Marquis who finished 1st at Illinois. Marquis repeated and received first place and then went on in the championship round to take the color championship banner.

Our third alpaca to show was RobAsia’s Keystone who finished second in Illinois. Another first place and then the hat trick, Keystone took the color championship.

The last alpaca to show that day was RobAsia’s Liberti who had taken a second place in Illinois and she also took a second place in Oklahoma with a very consistent showing.

In production classes we took a second place to Snowmass Midwest / Rock Creek with three outstanding Superstar offspring, the three who just took the hat trick of color championships. We also took first with Breeders Best Three.

On Sunday RobAsia’s Encore Took a second place in a large class of 14, standing in the second row the winner of Encore’s class was chosen for the color championship so we moved up to compete with the other first place winners. Encore was chosen for the Reserve color championship from the second row.

Needless to say we were very happy with our placements and they were all consistent with the Illinois show just a few weeks before.

Consistent comments from all judges were solid frame, fineness and staple length.

The volunteers in Oklahoma put on an outstanding show, from the moment you arrive until you left the building fully loaded they were all very appreciative of us taking the time to attend their show. Our sincere thanks to all those involved. See you next year!

All alpacas in our Oklahoma show string are for sale, Males partial interest, Females full interest. check them out on their individual web pages.
